What does Recall actually do?

It turns the videos you research into usable material. Import a video, Recall extracts the transcript and the patterns behind it, then synthesizes one or more videos into a content pack: angles, hooks, a script outline, captions and optional thumbnail images.

Do I need a YouTube channel?

No. Recall works for anyone publishing content — short-form, long-form, newsletters or client work. A channel just makes the output easier to ship.

Can I combine multiple videos?

Yes, that's the point of Studio. Pick several saved videos and Recall grounds one pack in all of them, showing which source each idea came from and how the sources relate.

Does Recall copy other creators?

No. It extracts patterns — structure, framing, the pain a video addresses — and helps you build something original. Reproducing another creator's script, thumbnail, voice, likeness or brand is against our terms.

How are thumbnails generated?

Thumbnail generation is opt-in and runs server-side through an image model. You choose a direction (source-inspired, bold or clean), Recall returns image variants to your private storage, and you can refresh a single image at a fraction of the full cost.

Can I use my own AI keys?

Yes, on plans that support BYOK. Your key is stored encrypted server-side, requests route through your provider account, and your provider's billing, limits and data policies apply.

What happens if I run out of credits?

AI actions pause until your next cycle, or you can buy a top-up pack. Purchased credits roll over; included monthly credits reset each period. Your library, notes and saved packs stay accessible.

Are my imported videos and transcripts private?

Your workspace is scoped to your account with row-level access rules, and generated files live in private storage. AI actions send the relevant inputs to a model provider to produce output — see the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from Settings and you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Payments and refunds are handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record.
